MT 668-2008, GB 21352-2008 and EN 14973 C1 are separate technical references. The required edition, approval scope and laboratory testing must be confirmed for each mine and jurisdiction.

MT 668-2008

Flame-resistant steel cord conveyor belt reference for coal mining. Supplied comparison data includes surface resistance up to 300 MOhm and maximum drum surface temperature of 325 C.

GB 21352-2008

Reference for flame-resistant steel cord conveyor belts used in underground mines, with its own test and approval framework.

EN 14973 C1

MT668 SELECTION QUESTIONS

Is MT 668-2008 the same as EN 14973 C1?

No. They are separate references with different scopes and test frameworks. Specify the exact required standard and approval for the project.

Which ST rating should be selected?

The rating must be calculated from conveyor length, lift, capacity, belt speed, operating tension, safety factors and splice design. Use the table for reference, then confirm the engineered selection.

Can belt width and cover thickness be customized?

Yes, subject to engineering review, manufacturing capability and the required standard. Provide the conveyor and material data in the RFQ form.

What documents can be requested?

Request the applicable product specification, inspection plan, test documentation and manufacturing records required by the purchase contract.
