Problem — Solution Analysis

Why Traditional Conveyor Systems Fail in Modern Bulk Material Handling

Pipe Conveyor Belt provides fully enclosed, dust-free and curve-capable conveying solutions — solving the fundamental limitations of open-belt conveying in a single enclosed system.

Pipe Conveyor Belt — Working Principle
Traditional Open Belt VS Fully Enclosed Pipe Belt
Traditional open conveyor belt — dust and material spillage
✕ Traditional Open Belt — Dust & Spillage

✔ Pipe Conveyor Belt — Fully Enclosed
✔ Fully Enclosed Pipe Belt
✔ No Dust, No Spillage
✔ Higher Material Transport Efficiency
Problem Traditional Conveyor Challenges
Dust Pollution
Open conveyor systems generate severe dust emission during transportation — especially in coal, cement and port industries — creating environmental violations and health hazards.
Material Spillage
Bulk materials easily fall from traditional belts during loading, conveying and discharge, resulting in product loss, cleanup costs and safety hazards on the plant floor.
Multiple Transfer Points
Conventional systems require more transfer stations, driving up civil engineering investment, equipment cost and ongoing maintenance complexity across the entire line.
Environmental Compliance Pressure
Industrial projects increasingly face strict dust control regulations — open belt systems cannot meet modern environmental standards without expensive additional enclosures.
Limited Route Flexibility
Traditional conveyor belts cannot handle horizontal curve transportation in complex terrains, forcing costly route detours or additional transfer infrastructure.
High Maintenance Cost
Frequent cleaning, transfer point maintenance and material loss accumulate into significant long-term operating expenses that erode project profitability over time.
Solution Why Pipe Conveyor Belt
Fully Enclosed Transportation
The belt gradually forms a closed circular pipe profile during conveying — completely sealing materials inside the system and eliminating exposure at every point in the route.
Zero Material Leakage
Fully enclosed conveying prevents spillage from loading to discharge, reducing product loss, minimizing cleanup costs and protecting the structural integrity of the plant floor.
Fewer Transfer Stations
Transport materials through horizontal and vertical curves without multiple transfer stations — dramatically reducing civil engineering cost and system complexity in difficult terrain projects.
Dust-Free Conveying
Pipe Conveyor Belt effectively controls dust pollution throughout the entire transportation process — meeting environmental protection regulations without additional enclosure structures.
Horizontal Curve Conveying
Suitable for steep angle transportation up to 30°, reducing installation space requirements and enabling more compact plant layouts on challenging topographic sites.
Lower Total System Cost
Fewer transfer towers, reduced maintenance workload and eliminated environmental cleaning costs deliver a significantly lower total cost of ownership over the full project lifecycle.

Traditional Conveyor VS Pipe Conveyor Belt

Traditional Conveyor Belt Pipe Conveyor Belt
Open conveying — materials exposed Fully enclosed conveying
Dust pollution at every transfer point Dust-free transportation throughout
Material spillage and product loss Zero leakage from loading to discharge
Multiple transfer stations required Long-distance curve conveying, fewer stations
High ongoing maintenance costs Lower maintenance cost over lifecycle
Environmental risk and compliance issues Eco-friendly, regulation-compliant system

Belt Construction Overview

Pipe Conveyor Belt core body is composed of high-strength textile canvas or steel wire rope embedded in high-quality rubber compound. The belt gradually transitions from flat to a circular pipe profile, returning flat at the tail for material discharge.

Superior anti-fatigue performance, bending resistance and stable tubular cross-section formation are the core technical requirements that distinguish a high-quality pipe belt from a conventional flat belt, and define its long service life in demanding bulk material handling environments.

1
Outside Rubber Cover
High wear-resistance, weather-resistant compound. Interfaces with carrying idlers during pipe-forming process.
2
Carcass Layer
Nylon / EP multi-ply fabric or high-tensile steel wire cord. Provides tensile strength and pipe shape stability.
3
Inside Rubber Cover
Smooth inner surface in direct contact with conveyed material. Wear-resistant compound options for abrasive bulk materials.
4
Edge Sealing Zone
Reinforced belt edges provide the contact sealing force that maintains the closed pipe profile under load and during curve conveying.

01
Fully Enclosed — Dust-Free
Completely enclosed material transportation with no dust emission or material flying, unaffected by wind, rain or external environmental conditions throughout the conveying route.
02
Large Inclination — Up to 30°
Suitable for steep angle transportation exceeding the limits of conventional belt conveyors — reducing horizontal footprint and enabling compact plant layouts on hillside or constrained sites.
03
Horizontal Curve Conveying
Navigate horizontal and vertical curves in a single continuous system — eliminating multiple transfer stations and reducing civil engineering investment for complex terrain projects.
04
Round-Trip Material Transport
Pipe conveyor belt supports round-trip transportation of materials — enabling two-way bulk material flow in a single belt system, reducing equipment investment for complex plant layouts.
05
Environmentally Friendly System
Zero material spillage, zero dust emission and no noise amplification from open-belt material impact — meeting strict environmental protection regulations in sensitive industrial zones.
06
Lower Total System Cost
Fewer transfer towers, reduced maintenance workload and eliminated environmental cleaning costs deliver measurably lower total cost of ownership over the full project lifecycle.
